Seabrook Harbor, N.H., May 1
We tend to avoid color here in New Hampshire. But look at this painted boat. It hauls fish nets full of spring flowers and pulls lobster traps full of Easter eggs, I imagine.
A gentle rain today, not entirely warm. Incredibly noisy birds. Driveway decorated with sodden, expiring earthworms.
The garden has only given us chives and rhubarb so far. I’m going to make biscuits with cheddar cheese and chives tonight. And the rest of dinner will just complement that somehow. Maybe I’ll stop at a fish market. And, hey, it’s Cinco de Mayo, so how about Rhubarb Margaritas?
