Back corner of our house, partly “painted” with Sherwin-Williams “Cityscape” gray exterior paint. Old color below will be painted Cityscape too, I just didn’t bother to do it in the online “visualizer” app.
We are having our house painted, because maintenance-wise it’s time. We liked our light blue-green-gray color when we had it done 11 years ago, but we are bored with it now and want something different. We have a green metal roof and all-clad windows with green and white trim, so we have to work with that existing feature.
Our house is a raised ranch. The first half of it was trucked in as a modular in the 1970s (this side, pictured above), then it was doubled in size with a stick-built addition (not visible). It is kind of long and looming when viewed from the road, and we figured a darker color would “shrink” it a little.
If you hate this color, don’t tell me because we already ordered the paint. I think my vari-colored chickens will stand out against it like a poultry bouquet. Also, flowers will look good. And the evergreens I want to plant more of. And it will not fade out in a snowy landscape like it does now.
Painting starts on Friday morning.
